Sanya International TCM Friendship Sanatorium
A tertiary Grade-A TCM hospital. Since 2002 it has turned “TCM wellness travel” into a mature route from the Sanya coast — the main window for TCM care for Russian clients in Hainan.
Founded in 1991 and relocated in 2008 to 106 Fenghuang Road, Jiyang District: facing the Linchun River, backed by Fenghuang Hill, opposite the “Crown of Beauty” pageant venue. The 45-mu campus covers 55,948 m² with 630 licensed beds and 698 staff — 11 PhDs, 98 master’s graduates, 22 chief and 88 associate-chief physicians.
Orthopaedics, gastroenterology, neurology, acupuncture and nephrology are national or provincial key specialties; cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and preventive treatment are its priority disciplines. Imported equipment includes a 1.5T MRI, a 64-slice spiral CT and a GE Innova 3100 angiography system, worth about RMB 120 million.
Since 2002 the hospital has pioneered “TCM wellness travel” in China, receiving guests from Russia, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Germany and France as well as medical charter flights. It has served heads of state from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan, ran TCM rehabilitation for children injured in Beslan and for 50 Kyrgyz children, and holds a “For contribution to Sino-Russian friendship” citation signed by the Russian Prime Minister.
